Connecting the operator panel
Installation
Pin assignment for DOP11C:
Cable specification Use a 2 x 2-core twisted and shielded copper cable (data transmission cable with
braided copper shield). The cable must meet the following specifications:
Core cross section 0.5 ... 0.75 mm

(AWG 20 ... 18)
Cable resistance 100 ... 150 at 1 MHz
Capacitance per unit length 40 pF/m (12 pF/ft) at 1 kHz.
For example, the following cable is suitable:

Applying the shield Apply the shield at both ends over large area to the electronics shield clamp of the con-
troller and in the housing of the 9-pin Sub-D connector of the operator panel.
Cable length The permitted total cable length is 200 m.
